MY EARTH BANK -POWERING
Have just added some BRonze grasses- we planted Water Melons they went beserk?? won't do that again. But enjoyed the melons1 but over powered a lot of the natives- lost a few things! But up & running now well & truly- some Alyssium flowrering-Daisies- and the birds already love it!

2021 A BUSY YEAR IN THE GARDEN
I have always loved trees-but this new Earth Bank- will open up a whole new perspective on my garden. Growing a whole range of low growing- bird attracting- natives- plus grasses- so an exciting addition to my garden. Here on my Web Site- I can check on progress- watch it all come to fruition- and I reckon get a real kick out of it! Ever since Dad gave me a packet of (Zinnia seeds) and said grow them! I have been addicted- hoping that will work with my little Grandies! get them all switched on to Gardening-planting- watching things grow! I am still addicted!
GREVILLIA PINKIE PETITE (low growing)
MY PLANTINGS -A NICE VARIETY
-
GERALDINE WAX
One of my favorites-hoping to grow this in the big bank? have only grown in pots previously-so who knows? we will see how it all goes I guess!
-
HAKEA
Planning to plant some smaller species of Hakea-they are so useful-pretty and usually hardy here.
-
WHITE DAISIES
Not native -but always flowering- so I should include them in the planting!
EARTH BANK- (Rocs Garden)
This is my first major project for 2021- got 8 ton of dirt- (ex Sheep Yards) so it will be awesome- it is going to be planted with Natives- some grasses- ground covers- prickly shrubs- flowering shrubs- for the birds-a safe habitat. For us- a delightful bank of green -some foliage plants -a feast for the eyes- photos coming once it is completed! Hoping to get it all planted soon- waiting on the Bobcat! The delivery of the dirt! can't wait to plant it ! Going to use Hessian to pull over the mound to secure the plants! hoping we won't need to brace the bank? time will tell I guess.
BUSY BUSY- WET, WET
What a fantastic start to 2021 -all this beautiful rain. All the trees -corridors are thriving- the orchard- we lost stuff- but it has certainly weeded out the trees that need too much water- this is light soil (sandy) up on the ridge- blacl soil down the front- but each has its own merit. And both respond so well to the rain . So lots of replacement planting due to happen now- plus a big (dirt bank) alongside our Bungalow - it will be planted up with all natives- Grevillias- Callistimons- Ground cover- some pig face even! The birds will love it-and we can sit and enjoy the show! as soon as it is all pushed up- the dirt arrived yeaterday! can't wait to start planting- photos coming soon! ABOVE

-
CASUARINA GROVE
Quite a few of our Casuarinas have put out runners- and are multiplying - don't really mind- because the birds love the little groves & spend a lot of time in these trees!
